VICTORIAN / ANTIQUE 14K YELLOW GOLD ENAMELED COAT OF ARMS LOCKET, ovoid form with blue enameled ground and engraved designs, one side with the Jenks family coat of arms with "AUDAX AT [sic] CAUTUS" and "MODO DOMINUS ADSIT" in black enameled letters above and below in banners, other side with another coat of arms of a shield featuring three roses under the crest of a cornet with an arm holding an arrow and having "E.F.D." initials along the bottom edge, interior with both halves fitted with glass, presented on a tapered wide bail. Unmarked, tested as 14K gold fineness. Total weight including non-gold components: 23.2 grams. 19th century. 1 7/8" HOA, 1 1/8" x 1 3/8" OA without bail.

Condition

Mostly in very good overall condition with minor wear, surface scratches, and nicks, side with Jenks family coat of arms having some damage and losses to enamel with repair, other side with at least one chip to enamel at bottom edge.
