VIKING IRON AXE WITH DECORATION ON STAND
c. 900-1100 AD. Viking age. This iron battle axe features a circular socket and a long head, flaring towards thee blade. Etched decoration is present on both faces of the blade; on one side this comprises curved lines and on the other a series of chevron patterns.
