Form of the iconic Viking battle axe, scaled to 1 ½” tall. Bearded bit decorated with hound’s tooth and stipple bands. One side quite complete, the other weak from wear. Over 1000 years old, made for ritual use, probably meant to be broken by throwing against a rock as were ringjarn. That tradition shown on the Lärbro Stone. Professionally refurbished with the silver overlay restored for contemporary wear on a modern sterling silver neck chain. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
