Val Saint Lambert - Drinking glass (6) - port / liqueur glasses VSL "Service Lothaire" - Crystal

[ translate ]

6 beautiful engraved port glasses made from Val Saint Lambert in 1880
You can find these glasses in the first Val Saint Lambert catalog 1900 under the service "Service Lothaire". see attached printout.

The glasses are one of the first sets made by Val Saint Lambert.
The stem of the glass also resembles the "Cylindrique" from the brother company Baccarat / Saint Louis,

The glasses are mouth-blown into a chalice shape, after which loops and lines are engraved by hand.

The glasses are made of glass to which some pure crystal was added, this often happened in the 19th century to give the glasses a nicer shine. The purity levels were also not as high as they are now.
You can see this by small air bubbles in the glass.

All glasses differ in size and weight, and at the bottom of the base it is clearly visible that these are the first glasses from Val Saint Lambert.

Nowadays, this port glass will also be used as a liqueur glass.

All glasses are in good condition, no cracks or chips.
Considering the age, there may be minor signs of wear, and glass threads, air bubbles and imperfections are completely normal for antique glassware that is more than 100 years old.
Photos are part of the description.

Dimensions:
Height 10 cm
diameter top edge 5. 5 cm
weight per glass 81 grams
