Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, Valdivian culture, Earliest Horizon, ca. 2300 to 2000 BCE. A lovely necklace featuring a Valdivian pottery spindle whorl pendant beneath petite stone beads. The modern oxidized sterling silver chain is of a slender design and is adorned with two sets of stone beads that enclose mottled green-and-brown stone discs. Strung in modern times, this is a fabulous and wearable necklace that is sure to accentuate any ensemble! Size (necklace): 33" L (83.8 cm); (pottery pendant): 1.1" W x 0.75" H (2.8 cm x 1.9 cm); quality of sterling silver: 92.5% or higher.
