Accompanied by SSEF report no. 135008, stating that the sapphire is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating.

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 135008, stating that the cushion-shaped sapphire weighing 5.15 carats, measuring 9.17 x 8.44 x 7.16mm, is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating.

Signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered 10171. French maker's mark. French assay mark and stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Sapphire violetish blue of medium saturation, slightly included, crystal, minor colour zoning, chips, pronounced abrasions to the facet edges. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 3.00 - 3.20 carats on average G-H colour, VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Scuffs and scratches to the metal consistent with age and wear. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 9 grams.
