Vanadinite Mammoth-St Anthony Mine, St. Anthony Deposit, Tiger, Mammoth District, Pinal Co., Arizona, USA "A small specimen with a big vug of red vanadinite crystals to about 5 mm. This is the best vanadinite that I have seen from the locality. I got this specimen when I sold Earl Calvert's collection for the family, many years after he died." - Rock H. Currier Somehow Rock seems to have forgotten about the other Tiger Vanadinite that was in his collection (see RHC #1453). The one that is a lot bigger. Oh, well - you really can't have enough top quality Tiger specimens in your collection! Really! This one is nice too, and different, since it is a vug and not a freestanding crystal ... and good enough to be part of the 2012 TGMS Arizona Mineral Treasures exhibit. There is a custom labeled acrylic base. Overall Measurements: 2.6 x 2.2 x 1.6 inches (6.5 x 5.5 x 4.0 cm) Offered at no reserve Provenance: Ex. Earl Calvert Collection [RHC #6988, acquired 2005] [Scale: 1 inch, with mark at 1 cm]
