Large globular porcelain Arita ware vase with a flared neck. The vase has a dynamic decoration of blue, purple and dark red glaze streaks in high relief. Signed at the bottom by the artist the famous ceramic maker Yasuaki Maeda (b. 1937) , one of the leading artists in the modern revival of Arita porcelain. Including original sealed and signed wooden transport box (tomobako) . On the bottom you will notice craquelé in the glaze. This is is undamaged and the craquelé occured during the firing process. When shipped we will add a certificate of authenticity.
