Condition Report:
The work has been examined framed. The canvas is not lined. Examination under the UV light reveals spots of retouching (approx. 1cm wide) towards the upper part of the left edge and a few further smaller dots of retouching in places, most predominately towards the extreme edges. There are stretcher bar marks associated with lines of craquelure running vertically towards right, left and centre parts of the composition. There are a few lines of stable craquelure in places notably to the lower part of the sky. There is some minor frame rubbing along the extreme edges. Impasto is well preserved. This work is in overall very good condition.
