Two Ink Drawings of New York City: A Midtown Silhouette and Carnegie Hall. Both signed "Vernon Howe Bailey" l.r., Carnegie dated "1935" beneath the signature, both identified in pencil inscriptions on the lower edges. Pen and ink with touches of whiting on heavy paper, sizes to 22 x 15 in., matted, unframed. Condition: Toning, soiling to the margins, Silhouette with brown paper tape remnants along the edges of the recto, both hinged to the back mats.

N.B. The artist has annotated A Midtown Silhouette along the bottom edge to identify the buildings beyond the New York Public Library, including the Chrysler Tower, Lincoln Building, and the Colonial Building.
