Native American Zuni artist Veronica Poblano is internationally recognized for her innovative approach to traditional Zuni silversmithing and lapidary forms. The daughter of famed Zuni artist Leo Poblano, one of the first to popularize the carved and inlaid mosaic work of the 1940's that later became emblematic of the tribe. Veronica's work has been featured in many publications and exhibitions, perhaps most notably in the American Museum of Natural History show "Totems to Turquoise."

Condition Report: Turquoise: light greenish blue to turquoise blue, most with finely visible matrix, good polish.
Oyster: medium red to slightly orangy red, few with porous texture and growth lines visible, few surface-reaching inclusions, medium luster.
Spiny oyster: medium-dark salmon color to deep orange-red.
Minor glue visible on several hardstones.
Necklace pendant 2 3/4 x 3 inches. Panels 1 7/16 x 1 1/5 inches.
Oversized ring 2 7/16 x 1 1/4 inches.
Minor scratches on reverse.
