Very Fine American Classical Mahogany Julep Table
Likely by J & J.W. Meeks, circa 1840. Having a rectangular white marble top which looks to be original to the piece. The marble rests nicely atop the case having a molded freeze flanked by fine scrolling corner brackets with rounded rosette above the excellently figured lower door which is hinged nicely and opens to interior all resting atp the lower case with rectangular base leading to two inverted arch type feet with blind fret toe and with a nice turned back leg. H36" W34" D17 3/8"
