Very Fine Antique Chinese Jade Carved Plaque

Qing period. Carved apple green jade plaque, very nicely carved and detailed. Good condition throughout accompanied by an early letter from the previous owner who handed the piece down to her daughter. The characters on the verso read ÒCourage Before RighteousnessÓ. H3 1/8" W2" Sold from the collection of a Lake Murray South Carolina lady who was an early 20th century member of the Red Cross and spent a great deal of time in China on missions.
