With two flying eagles holding the banner inscribed Pluribus Unium above a flowering urn and base inscribed Frenheit ist das leben der welt. Und zwang ist der tode which translates to 'Freedom is the life of the world. And compulsion is death.' The lower margin inscribed Durham Tps Bucks County ... 9th 1823.

Condition Report:
In overall very fine condition, examined out of frame. Hinged at the top corners; the edges in excellent condition. Two pin holes on the right hand side indicate that the fraktur was taken from a book or journal. Overall toning to paper and some light stains along the top edge. Minor abrasion to the lower right and corner and a small quarter inch tear to the left hand lower edge of the page. Minor contact with water around the edges and wrinkling of the page along the proper right top edge.
