Very Fine Francois Linke Center Table, 19th Century.

Fine Louis XV style ormolu mounted marble top tulipwood and kingwood center table.

the mottled ochre, white and gray marble top of serpentine outline with rounded corners, above a frieze fitted with a frieze drawer with a central mount of a female mask set within an asymmetrical cartouche, the reverse with faux drawer and identical mounts, the sides centering cabochon set cartouches raised on cabriole legs, headed by ormolu espagnolettes continuing down to scrolled sabots, joined by a shaped X-form stretcher, supporting a flame-filled urn, one of the ormolu rosettes from top corner has been removed to reveal the initials FL, presumably for Francoise Linke.

Height 28.75 in. (73.02 cm.), Width 31 in. (78.74 cm.), Depth 20.5 in. (52.07 cm.)
