Very Fine Southern Walnut Federal Huntboard
Circa 1820. Likely Midlands to upper South Carolina. The piece having a thick two board top which is nicely matched and original to the piece above a single cutlery drawer at center flanked by four large deep drawers at each side and a single hinged door at center resting atop handsome tall tapered legs. The piece stands at 44 1/2" tall and has not been shortened. The piece is in good original condition. Finish is an older refinish. The secondary wood is yellow pine throughout. H44 1/2" W62 3/8" D22 7/8" Note: The piece was recently discovered by the current owner in the basement of a central Georgia home. It is said to have been used by the previous ownerÕs family near Berkeley County, South Carolina outside of Charleston, South Carolina.
