Medium low dense silk highlights wool pile on cotton foundation. Fine hand-knotted rug. Field with central complex multicolor medallion with extensions and floral designs on tech bloom and green color background; complex multicolor corner guards; multiple borders with floral palmettes serpentine motifs on multicolor background; fringe at both ends. Natural abrash. Persian, ca. 1980's

Condition: Very Good, with little evidence of use. Finely knotted pile full and even throughout, the design sharp and the silk highlights retaining their sheen; no low areas, bare spots, holes or moth damage observed. Natural abrash banding across the salmon field. Fringes full, clean and even at both ends; selvedges intact and secure. Reverse shows a fine, regular weave with no repairs, patching or reweaving. No staining or water marks noted. Lies flat and square.
