Very Fine and Rare Chippendale Carved and Figured Mahogany Games Table

Several brackets replaced.
Height 29 1/4 in. by Width 35 5/8 in. by Depth 17 5/8 in. (closed); Depth 35 1/4 in. (open)

Condition Report:
Secondary woods are white pine, Atlantic white cedar, and oak. Book matched flyleaf to stationary top. . Some glue blocks lacking on bottom. Feet are good. Small piece of gardrooning back proper right side. Overall excellent original condition, old refinish. Christies' condition report: "In very good condition overall, with a rich, mellow patina with scattered stains and light scratches to top. Four shallow face patches on interior surface of top at back near hinges and leaf-fold. 3" x 1 1/2" patch to front lower section of top (repairing a crack). Very small patch and repaired crack at bottom of proper right leg. Small crack with fill at bottom of proper left rear leg. Cracks to gadrooned molding at front legs. Knee returns with minor chips and imperfections and some regluing. Returns have good color and age: appear to be original. Silver drawer pulls are period, with replaced threaded elements of posts.
