Very Interesting Post-war Set Related to the 20 July 1944 Valkyrie Operation Conspirator Albrecht Mertz von Quirnheim. Set belonged to his son, who tried to keep alive the memory of his father as one of the heroes that sacrificed their lives to end with Adolf Hitler with the plot and assassination atemp in the Wolf's Lair in Rastenburg. Set includes: 2 portrait photos of Albrecht Mertz, some press cuts from magazines and newspapers about the plot and the role this man played, some 20 July 1944 Foundation conference Identification cards with names of participants, some photocopies of documents and books and some other papers. Peter Bachert was captured and charged with being one of the conspirators of the Hitler assassination attempt and therefore executed, burned and his ashes scattered. He is considered a hero in Germany nowadays.
