Very Pretty Bebe Francais.

Very pretty French Bebe made by Jumeau and sold as "Bebe Francais" with head incised in back "B. 10 F." and attached by a coil spring to the original fully-jointed french wood and composition body with original patina, although slight surface wear commensurate with age. She has lovely pale blue paperweight eyes, a closed mouth, a heart-shaped face indicative of this particular mold which makes her stand out as somewhat different from the more frequently found "Tetejumeau". She wears an old human hair wig over cork pate and has at some time been re-dressed in a cotton print dress with shawl and matching hat. Shoes and socks are not present. She comes with a period Jumeau box, and although of the period and from the same manufacturer is unlikely to be original box, as the box is specifically indicated as "Bebe Jumeau", but also with a size number 11 and this doll is a size 10. Nevertheless, a solid addition to a seldom-found doll. Size: 22". Condition: (Very Good). Dimensions: Box: 26 - 1/4" x 9 - 3/8" x 26 - 1/4".
