Very rare Radcliffe & Guignard 12GA SxS percussion shotgun SN 4064, Columbia, SC, circa 1861, walnut stock, Damascus barrels, L29 1/4", overall L46"; barrel stamped: RADCLIFFE & GUIGNARD, COLUMBIA, SC, and also marked on the sidelock action

Other Notes: Research indicates that the Confederate States of America purchased 26 double barrel guns from Radcliffe's business on August 8, 1861. Radcliffe's business was located on the corner Richardson and Plain Street, at the sign of the drum, and offering: clocks, watches, jewelry, silverware, military, fancy goods, guns, pistols, etc.

Condition: Condition statement: good original condition; barrels retain 80% of color; minor nicks and scratches on stock consistent with age and use.
