Very rare food box - .925 silver - Probably Germany - Second half 19th century

The lid decoration represents a still life with birds, the shell-shaped handles have floral motifs at the centre. The vermeil gilding is perfectly preserved on the inside and partially preserved on the outside. Based on the style of the object and hallmarks, I assume it could be a German product of the late 19th century, imported into Italy (which would explain the added hallmark 925) . But it could also be older. Both the lid and the main body feature 3 presumably German hallmarks and the hallmark 925 (8 hallmarks in total) .
