Vic Payne is an American sculptor known for detailed bronze works depicting Western history, Native American subjects, and wildlife. The son of sculptor Ken Payne, he grew up on a New Mexico ranch, where family stories and the art of Charles M. Russell and Frederic Remington helped inspire his career. His sculptures range from intimate figures to monumental public installations, combining dynamic movement with narrative detail. Through historical research and expressive compositions, Payne seeks to convey the people, animals, and experiences that shape his vision of the American West. His work is represented in collections including the Booth Western Art Museum and the James Museum of Western and Wildlife Art.
