Condition Report:
The canvasboard is stable. Inspection under UV light reveals no obvious signs of retouching. There is an unusual area of fluorescence to the right of the figure's mouth which appears to correspond to the artist's materials. There are a few spots of pigment loss in places. There are fine lines of craquelure to the encaustic. There is some light frame abrasion with minor associated pigment losses, mainly to the upper edge. This work is in overall very good condition.
