Important and very heavy silver plated metal or bronze jardinière, 41 cm, with a rich rocaille decoration of volutes and vegetal arabesques as well as shells, resting on four leafy feet, hallmark of the goldsmith Victor Saglier*, Art Nouveau period, late 19th century. This high quality jardinière is of remarkable quality. Very decorative. Hallmarked on the underside. Saglier is renowned for his Art Nouveau works and has produced several pieces for Louis Majorelle, Daum and Emile Gallé. His style is typical of the French Art Nouveau under the influence of the School of Nancy. Will be properly packaged and shipped with insurance.
