Princess Elizabeth and Lord Philip Mountbatten met in 1934. They got engaged in the summer of 1947 and were married just a few months later, on the 20th of November.

Their wedding took place in Westminster Abbey in front of 2,000 guests, and the ceremony was also recorded by BBC Radio and broadcast to 200 million people around the world.
