JS Campbell & Co Printings Clear Impressions 2d purple-brown as SG 19 but Substituted Transfer Stone 5 'GM' Pos [42], margins large to huge, fine Barred Oval '2' cancel of Geelong. Superb. RPSofV Certificate (2008). Gibbons list Substituted Transfers only for the subsequent Poor Impressions printing as SG 20ca Cat £3000 (for a pair). The 'GM' letter combination was Pos 32 on the stone. However, as Geoff Kellow states at page 74, the lower-left corner block of four [FL-GM/QV-RW] was damaged, and substituted with a new transfer comprising [VZ-WA/FL-GM]. Kellow records only eight Substituted Transfer pieces known, seven pairs (several of which are defective) and this single, adding that "Examples of [41] & [42] with base margin are abnormal". Sold at our auction of 13.6.2009 for $1553
