This generously scaled piece is fitted with a pinstem and catch for wear as a brooch, as well as a bail for suspension as a pendant. Although unmarked, XRF analysis and standard metal testing verify the mounting as 14k gold. An attractive natural patina has developed across the gold on the reverse.
