The piece features a serpentine-fronted top shelf flanked by two raised handles with turned and shaped grips. Below the top surface, the cabinet is divided into five vertical compartments by four ornate, scroll-carved dividers designed for holding sheet music or folio-sized documents. The lower section contains a single full-width drawer with a matching serpentine front, decorated with a central carved cartouche and incised borders. The drawer construction features hand-cut dovetail joints visible on the secondary wood sides. The sides of the cabinet are heavily ornamented with elaborate openwork scrolls and foliate carvings. The structure is supported by four cabriole legs with carved shoulders and scroll feet, joined by turned stretchers. No maker marks, labels, or signatures are visible on the object.
