Third quarter 19th century
The leather-inset rectangular top with a galleried and grille-inset superstructure above three mahogany-lined frieze drawers, the center drawer stamped 'WRIGHT & MANSFIELD' once and '104 NEW BOND ST.' twice, raised on stop-fluted square legs headed by ribbed panels, finished on all sides; the locks stamped 'BY ROYAL LETTER PATENT FOUR LEVERS SAFETY LOCK ...' . Height with superstructure 37 1/2 inches (95.3 cm), height of writing surface 28 3/4 inches (73 cm), width 48 1/4 inches (122.5 cm), depth 23 inches (58.5 cm).

Condition Report: Excellent quality, sunfading throughout, gilding rubbed, one brass flute off to left front leg but present, od marks and scratches, losses, age cracks and lifting to veneers.
