Condition Notes: A Swedish Victorian brooch that is both lightweight and volumetric in its design. These strong gold forms and volutes contrast with a dainty, hand-engraved edge that gives a lacy look. Having Swedish Hallmarks: date mark "M5" for 1866, unknown maker's mark GD, National Control Mark of the triple crown in cat's paw frame, 18k, assay office "M" for Malmö. Minor dents to the drop, ball, and the side edge. Completed by pinstem and C catch on reverse. Accompanied by a fitted box signed "G. Millberg, Stockholm."
