The backrest with a ratchet bookstand flanked by sliding chip wells, the back left leg stamped with the initials A.R.H. Height 34 inches (86.4 cm), width 32 inches (81.5 cm), depth of seat 28 3/4 inches (73.5 cm) .
The stamp A.R.H is associated with furniture manufactured by the London based firm Wright and Mansfield (1861-1884).
