Condition Notes: The starburst brooch is a common motif found in antique jewelry, particularly of the Victorian period. The brooch is unmarked, tests as silver-topped 18k. The safety chain and pin test as 14k. Note: this piece does not have a pinstem and catch. It is completed by a gold safety pin attached to a gold chain and hook on the reverse. The piece can be hooked on to the edge of clothing and pinned to the fabric. It could also be hooked to a necklace and worn as an enhancer-pendant.
