Condition Notes: Scottish agate jewelry was popular in the 1850s when Queen Victoria was interested with everything Scotland...even the country's carved agate jewelry! This one is a target brooch, which incorporates a decorative St. Andrews cross at the center with a Gothic flair. Tests silver. Completed by pinstem and C catch as well as a small bale. Pinstem extends beyond the edge of the brooch. Visible tarnish to the metal.
