Condition Notes: The swallow makes frequent appearance in the engraved details of these silver Victorian bracelets, lockets and pendants. The swallow is a bird that mates with one partner for life, thus a beloved symbol in Victorian jewelry. The large bangle is engraved on the interior "Edith from Albert. St. Valentine's Day, 1883." So much sentiment in these pieces! The smaller bangle shows English hallmarks on the interior. Minor tarnish and scratches to the items. Many items show a Japanese influence/Japonaiserie style in the treatment of the motifs. The locket pendant-necklace has a characteristic Victorian "bookchain" necklace constructed of flat and stamped folded over rectangles.
