Victorian gold, gem & enamel locket

A late Victorian gold, split pearl, red gem and blue enamel locket.

Length 5.5cms. 23.5gms.

Condition Report:
Surface scratches and minor marks. General dirt.
Traces of gilt finish remain.
Enamel with minor nicks.
One red gem is a ruby, the cabochon a garnet.
Split pearls appear well matched.
Electronically tests to reverse as approximately 13ct gold.
Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
