Victorian oil lamp
Victorian oil lamp
silver plated Corinthian column form with hobnail cut reservoir, later converted into an electrical lamp base, manufacturer's mark drilled through, 63cm high
Condition report:
The wire has been cut, and would require rewiring, so we cannot guarantee if the lamp is working. The manufacturer's marks have been drilled through and partially obscured, 'H' in a cartouche is visible. Overall wear and tarnish, consistent with age and use. Minor chips to the reservoir and dirt to the interior which makes it appear discoloured. Clips on collar still good. There is a hot drill hole to base of the font, very minor chips.
