single leaf, depicting Nur Jahan Begum seated against a bolster on an ornate carpet with two attendants in waiting, one of these holding up a mirror in which Nur's reflection can be seen, exceptional detail to faces and jewellery adorning the ladies, small flowered garden in the foreground and a pavillion in the background, a few small chips to paint with fractional loss, overall very good condition, framed within album page with gilt decorative borders (rather faded), total 300 by 220 mm.; framed and glazed, with typescript label and copy of Maggs catalogue descripton pasted to reverse
