Latvian artist, ceramic, scenographer.
In 1924th finished Secondary school of Cesis art department. Until 1933rd studied Latvian Academy of Arts, there studied ceramics and paintings, also has finished Ceramic workshop of R.Pelse.
In his student years he has worked as a decorator in Latvian National Opera, was L. Liberta scenography work supervisor.
LMA ceramic workshops technician, an executive director, an assistant professor from 1942.
Works characterized by patriarchal or romantic mood, conditional coloring, metrical form of stylization. Made a classic, clear-shaped vases, cups, candlesticks, dinner services, as well as a decorative plastics. He has worked with clay, stone mass, earthenware, porcelain, different glazes, engobes. Participated in exibitions from 1929th.
