Vinaigrette, Georgian - Silver - John Bettridge, London - England - 1825

This is a Georgian Silver vinaigrette which dates to 1825 and is made by John Bettridge. The interior of the box and grill are beautifully gilded. The grill is original and is very ornate with pierced flowers and scrolling vines with finely engraved detail. There are hallmarks to the top and bottom of the interior. There is an engine turned design on the outside of the box, the lid has a small cartouche with the initials "S. D".
