[ translate ]

\Artist: Vincent Gild (1974)
Technique: Mixed media\Signature: Hand signed
Vincent Gild Shoah Memorial n°2 Original work, mixed media on canvas, from 2014. Signed, with certificate. 115*90 cm A Frenchman from Burgundy. Gold, blue, silver and metal plate on canvas. For years Vincent Gild (°1974) was a music artist and composer, but he found his passion in figurative creations. Repetitive electronic rock/punk is transformed into visual acoustics on canvas, into wavy harmonious movements or powerful explosions. Unique works to discover! After a musical start in the nineties, Vincent Gild found his passion in figurative creations. He frees seemingly banal materials such as metal from a rational and superficial thought and gives them the space to discharge their mystical and magical properties in full force. His art brings back nature, the spontaneous and the organic in the hard, industrial material he uses. The whimsical terroirs of Burgundy, where he lives and works, are reflected in the choice of his materials and encourage solipsistic reflections that require little explanation. His textures speak, fascinate, magnetise and draw the viewer naturally into the work: the thumping aorta of the materials converted into images. Under the pseudonym "Vince", Gild released his first single 'Superworld' in 2004, on Bob Sinclar's label. Just as a slow, hypnotic electro number develops, gild's textures also seem to be the result of a steady and organic process. As fluid as a wave of electronic sound, the structures of his work show. Gild cites Pierre Boulez, Steve Reich, Philipp Glass, Bernard Parmegiani and Pierre Henry as influences. They are all pioneers of contemporary classical and/or electronic music. What they try to express in music, Gild tries to represent in matter: dense, compelling structures, repetitive waves, a kind of lost primal force.
