Ink sketch of a tree on watermarked wove paper, unsigned* (Vincent van Gogh, 1853-1890). 3 x 3 7/8 inches. Good condition, having no tears or visible repairs. Unframed for inspection and shipping. Sold unframed.

Provenance: Property from a private collection, Zurich, Switzerland. Subsequently bequeathed to the owner's father and thence by descent to the consignor, Dallas/Highland Park, Texas. This sketch is part of a larger group of sketches and drawings, some of which we sold in our July auction. The balance of the collection will be offered in September.
