Coming from an inheritance, this rare ancient and beautiful sculpture in 800 silver is one of the icons of the great Neapolitan master Vincenzo Gemito. It represents the famous Pescatorello; Young boy fishing with a rod on a rock. Very suggestive and original, the work is part of exclusive pieces that Gemito had made in good quality silver and a net weight of the silver alone of 2295 g. This work is one of the best known and actually also reproduced. Of excellent workmanship and quality, it is a rare and beautiful object. It can certainly be dated between 1890 and 1910. The finishing is excellent, the engravings are also noteworthy and it is certainly rare: its dimensions mean that it fits into any context and style, immediately giving elegance, beauty, interest and prestige. The general conditions are good considering its age. It has 6 hallmarks and exactly the signature, the silver hallmark and 4 others of which I was unable to read well.
