Vincenzo Montefusco studied under Morelli in Naples, and dedicated himself to genre painting and landscape, working extensively for private individuals and shopkeepers. He found great fortune in Europe, especially in Paris, France, working mainly for the great art dealer Goupil. The same art dealer who absorbed all of Giovanni Boldini's production between 1870 and 1880.
