Oil painting on canvas by Vincenzo Scala (1839-1893) depicting a splendid villa immersed in a park with a lake and several characters. Vincenzo Scala (Naples, 1839 - after 1893) was a Neapolitan painter. Vincenzo studied at the Institute of Fine Arts in Naples. At the Milan Exhibition of Fine Arts in 1872 he exhibited a landscape: "Ricordo della campagna romana" and another canvas, "La fiera". In 1880 he exhibited "Il 15 giugno a Teano" in Turin. In 1876 he helped decorate the walls and ceiling of the Palazzo dei Baroni Zona in Naples. The large ceiling presents a large allegorical composition of landscape with figures. called Goddess Aurora, or also "with rosy fingers" given the effect of dawn, in which the goddess raises light over the sunset. This monumental work is without a doubt his greatest masterpiece. Canvas size without frame: 76x129 cm. The painting is in good condition, some restoration visible with UV rays. The frame is offered as a gift. The seller declines all responsibility for any damage that may occur during transport.
