Vintage 14kt White Gold Man's Diamond Ring, size 10.5
Vintage 14kt White Gold Men's Diamond Ring, over .25 tcw, size 10.5, 8.01 grams. Age is 1950's, possibly late 1940's with an art deco theme. It has two diamonds on the side ot the main diamond, each appx. .02. It has a n 11.5mm width that the top of the ring that tapers to 3.5 at the back. It is both signed 14kt and tested. The main diamond is an appx. .25 ctw stone - it cannot be accurately measured as it is in a welled setting and depth cannot be accurately measured - it is possible it is a bit larger than that - maybe .30 - but erring on the smaller size, I will call it a .25 ctw stone. It's color is between a G-I. Again, given the setting it is hard to accurately compare. It is a clean stone and as best I can see under 10X magnification it is an SI-S2. This ring has nice drama with a tiered off-set band on front and back and a square well on top where the main stone sits - it has a framed textured/dimpled accent. There is a welled accent on each side of the main diamond that has a .02 diamond in it - also framed with that same technique used around the main stone. The ring is signed MB on the inside of the band - I could not find a maker's mark that matched that - I found MB but not the same mark. This is a great quality ring. Nice weight/nice design and the setting of the diamond makes it appear larger than it is. This came from a PA estate.
