Vintage 1870's Coxcomb Applique Antique Quilt
GORGEOUS Vintage 1870's Coxcomb Applique Antique Quilt ~UNUSUAL DESIGN!
This DAZZLING cotton 1870's (could be earlier) red, yellow, and green coxcomb quilt is hand appliqued and hand quilted, with a four-block configuration. The quilt came out of Pennsylvania.
It measures 68" X 70" and is in excellent condition, with a couple of small, inconspicuous age spots and no wear. The quilt feels strong and sturdy overall.
The quilting is SUPERB, with double straight line and lattice designs quilted throughout at an even 7-8 stitches to the inch.
The back is white, the hand stitched binding is solid red, and the batting is thin. You can see cotton seed residue inside when you hold the quilt up to the light.
