Vintage 30's Flower Garden Antique Quilt
Vintage 30's Flower Garden Antique Quilt. This GORGEOUS cotton 30's grandmother's flower garden quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted, with a scalloped edge and hexagon pieces measuring 3/4" per side.The quilt measures 74" X 90" and is in excellent condition, with a couple of small, faint spots and no wear. There is quilting around the piecework throughout at an even 10-12 stitches to the inch. Many of the pieces are "fussy cut," where the maker centered the fabric pattern -- often a flower -- in the center of the hexagon piece. Whimsical novelty prints can be found in places. The back is white, the hand stitched binding are the same solid green used in the interior, and the batting is thin
