Vintage Balfour Merchandising Co Mr Bally Digital Clock and Mail Rack

A vintage wall-hanging mail organizer featuring an integrated early digital clock, manufactured in the United States. The piece consists of a vertical rectangular backplate with a gold-tone finish, surmounted by a cast metal rococo-style scrolling pediment with a central hanging loop. The base is decorated with a cast metal model of a vintage pickup truck. Two curved wire brackets are attached to the front of the backplate to function as a document or letter holder. Centered near the top is a rectangular dark window for a digital time display. The reverse of the unit features a small circuit board with a white plastic label marked in black print with DISPLAY and SET next to two corresponding contact points. The circuit board itself is printed with the text BALFOUR Merchandising Co 1379 and -MR. BALLY-. A large rectangular paper instruction label is adhered to the lower portion of the reverse, providing detailed steps for POWER-UP, OPERATION OF MODE 1, OPERATION OF MODE 2, and SETTING TIME AND DATE.
