Vintage Electric Handy Hot Whipper Mixer, 1950s Mid Century
Vintage Mid-Century Modern electric handy hot whipper mixer, 9" [22.9cm] tall, Atomic Design, 1950s. The glass mixing bowl is 5" [12.7cm] diameter and a 3-cup and 24 oz capacity. This blender / dessert mixer has a single metal blade that is attached to the lid. There is a switch on the electrical cord that turns the mixer on and off. The motor is housed in the white metal lid under the red wooden knob. The label on the lid has worn away, it originally read "Handy Hot Whipper". The bottom of the glass container is marked "Glassbake USA".
The metal parts show some aging, some paint lost; the red wooden knob is fine. The glass container has no chips or cracks- fine condition. The electric cord shows aging: the vintage rubber lost elasticity, shows deterioration, and is frayed exposing the wires on several spots---it is unusable. Without new wiring, the mixer is for display only.
